JellyBean upgrade on Samsung Galaxy S2 (EPIC FAIL)

I updated my Samsung Galaxy S2 to the new Jelly Bean OS. the one everybody have been waiting for so long. There has been no communications or requirements on the update, so the OS was downloaded. Now for more than a week I could not use my Data. MTN and Samsung says I have to do a SIM SWAP, as my SIM card is not compatible.
Why is it my problem? Everything was working 100% before the upgrade, now it is not.

I am upgrading in 3 months then I have to do a SIM SWAP again to the micro SIM. I'm not willing to do that.

MTN is my service provider, that provides 0 service.

The least they can do is provide my with a free SIM swap or just an early upgrade.

But there attitude is just that it is not there problem. If this problem is not sorted I will not be upgrading with MTN, but go to a service provider that is willing to go the extra mile and help there customers. This will be for both our contracts.

MTN please sort this out.
