I bought an 8ta 3G promotional package for R1800.00 while living in Brits North West Province. When I purchased it I mentioned that I was moving to Hartswater in the Northern Cape soon. I asked if there was coverage in the area, I was assured by the consultant at that time that there was not 3G coverage but 2G instead, which is slower. That to me is fine as I could still use it. To my surprise all that I can connect to was MTN and my internet does not work. I have 88 Gig left and it expired on 30-07-2014. On 17-08-2013 I went to the branch in the Diamond Pavilion mall in Kimberley, where I was informed that there is no coverage and that I will lose the data if not used. I asked if I can be refunded or use the data on MTN but I was told that this can not be done. The consultant logged an call for them to contact me regarding the matter case nr 6571450, but to my surprise they never contacted me. Is this the way that a big company like Telkom does busseness / steals our money and they don't care as it is prepaid.
