In February 2013 I lost my mobile phone due to a 'smash and grab' incident which was reported to the police and subsequently replaced by my insurance company (Supplied by RAP). Early July 2013 I received an sms from MTN stating I have successfully 'upgraded' my contract. Upon investigation this turned out to be on the request of 'Brits Cellular' as the device was reported missing by them. I negotiated with the dealer principle to have at least turn my BIS/BES turned back on 4 July 2013. The device was replaced by RAP and Brits Cellular was informed. Since 14th August Brits Cellular has requested a 'reversal of the upgrade' and they have been sent from pillar to post. In the meantime I cannot upgrade as I was supposed to be entitled to under my original contract. The upgraded contract also is costing me about R100 more per month as per my original contract
