Existing vodacom customer for 5 years. Ordered iPhone 4 online and application confirmed on 1 Aug. Contacted Vodacom Direct Call Centre to enquire if can change package to BlackBerry if decide to do so (was merely thinking about it). Giselle advised yes, must merely confirm to person who will contact telephonically to confirm. While waiting for confirmation call, on 5 Aug, received e-mail confirming that Blackberry package to be delivered - even though I did not confirm order. Spent entire afternoon & next 2 days speaking to Vodacom direct, vodacom call centre continuously who all requested cancellation of blackberry promised to report back to me re cancellation (But no one did). Received delivery on 7 Aug of Blackberry. Decided to accept delivery of phone as could no longer wait for another phone. Activated sim on same day, called call centre twice on day as their system was down. Both times, operator confirmed that they will contact me once manually activated - takes 24 -48 hours. Gave up waiting for activation and put my existing sim into phone. Today, 21 Aug - 2 weeks since receipt of phone & 3 weeks since order placed, receive a sms that the sim has been activated!!! Shocking
