Airtime deducted while calling Vodacom help line

On the 8th of August I was traveling to Botswana and when I was at the border I called Vodacom to enquire if my data would also roam. The agent who assisted didn't seem to have full product knowledge and kept putting me on hold. After a while I became suspicious and I asked the agent whether he was not exposing me to charges by putting me on hold now and again. The agent indicated that I was not being charged and he can confirm to me that I was on a free call. Eventually I crossed over to Botswana without any roaming facility in place. When I came back to South Africa on the 10th, I discovered that the call I made to Vodacom had taken 53 minutes and had been charged.. I called Vodacom immediately and I was promised that the matter would be resolved the next Monday after they had listened to the recorded conversation? On a monday Vodacom did not call me, until I called again on following Thursday. I was. Assured that the matter will be handled and will be notified on the Saturday. Up to this day no, no correspondence has come from Vodacom. What is worse is that every time I call I have to relate my story from the beginning because there are no references given.
