CANCELLATION OF CONTRACT

I have been trying to cancel my contract with MTN since April this year. What a nightmare!
Twice I have been told I have to pay R100 (R200 in total) to have the contract cancelled. Followed up with Ndumiso on 23/7 regarding cancellation, received no feedback. This morning I phoned and was told my account has been handed over to the legal department because of an outstanding amount of R32. Please provide me with the proof of commucation between your legal department and myself regarding this. To make matters worse, I was abruptly put on hold by the consultant, Happy, mid-sentence. Phoned again, spoke to Mtlanthla. Asked who the manager was, he told me Shane Williams. Asked to speak to him, said he is not available. Asked who is in charge if Shane is not there, got told "nobody". Did this surprise me? Not at all. It appears at MTN the managers/supervisors/senior management has a "i don't give a " attitude... which explains why every call centre agent or other employee has the same attitude! What a horrible, unorganised and frustrating company to do business with! One would think in today's competitive cellphone industry service levels would be top notch!
