I had a cell c contract that expired in 2012. One month before the contract could expire I went to the cell c store at the ridge shopping centre in Durban filled in a cancellation form which was faxed by the store. In Sep this year I received an sms from Pholosa, a collections agency from cell c, saying that my account may be handed over to an attorney. I then checked for all my old bank statements and for the cancellation letter and confirmation of the fax. I called the collections agency and told them that account has been cancelled and all payments where made and told them that I have all the documentation for proof, they told me that I should fax them the proof, which I did the very next day. I called them after a week to see what the outcome is and they said that they couldn't help me and I should contact the cell c legal department. I called the legal department a few days later and they said they didn't receive the fax. I faxed it again the next day. Since then I faxed my proof 3 times and called at least twice a week each time speaking to someone new and the person who I spoke to before is never available and so is the manager and they never call me back.
