I had an unuaually high data usage on my contract. /-R6000-00, this happened totally by accident. I recieved a warning SMS about the high usage and immediately stopped the usage on the contract, as this is only to be used in emergencies.
I then contacted 082 111 and was given the following reference number 304924734 and was told that someone would contact me within 48 hours.
I then contacted 082 111 today. They then put me through to 082 1946 were I spoke to Iyabonga On attempting to make arrangements to pay this LARGE amount, I was informed that I must make it in 2 payments of 50%, otherwise my numbers would be disconnected. As the amount is very large these payments work out to more than I can afford.
If thay look at the record of this contract you can see that this usage happened TOTALLY BY ACCIDENT. I understand that people do take chances, but I find that asking an extra R3000-00 over and above the normal account as an abnormally high amount.
It seems to me Vodacom are only prepared to make a quick buck and have no sympathy with someone who is trying to sort the problem out timeously. This amount is only due at the end of September 2013.
