Upgrade of a contract to MyGig 2

I recently upgraded my contract to the my Gig 2 data deal and opted for a laptop deal. I was told that the new contract would only be in affect from the 1st of September 2013. Just to my amazement I logged into the web site and saw that the headset subscription was going to be payable on the 31st August 2013 and I would also be paying the old rates for the subscription after numerous calls to customer care and a different story every time, I eventually got the following SMS.

Good day Mr Redelinghuys

I called you no respond, regarding the handset instalment, our bill run is from the 1th to the 3th, anything done on the billing day will be effective same day, like in your query, you have been charged for handset installment, that means your 24 month instalment started on the 03/08/2013.

I do not see as to why the subscription amount is not going to be the agreed on R99 a month and I still must pay R349 this month including the new head set subscription of R360 as well and from next month it will be R99

Please sort this out. I am disgusted by my experience with Vodacom. I will not be paying the R349 subscription.
