Dear Sir/Madam, Im currently on Vodacom and decided its time to port to another network. I Did research and found 8ta to be a really good network with great deals. I Decided that its time to change to 8ta, little knowing my nightmare was about to start.
I went to the 8ta shop at the Middelburg mall, the staff were very rude. I went to a consultant. I Told her I would like to port to 8ta what options do I have. I Enquired about the difference between Sim Sonke and 8ta more. She knew very basic. She kept saying refer to the website. I was told SIm Sonke to SIm Sonke is free all day if I recharge with R20 Or more, only later to find out its only from 9pm from another consultant.i asked her if Sim Sonke uses data, She was Clueless and started googling it. Took 15 minutes before she said no you cant.i then went on asking questions, which she eventually said I cant help you go to the next consultant.30 Minutes wasted and gotten No where.
The next consultant was abit more helpful, but I was not happy with the outcome. I Was told could take up to 3 Weeks for the porting to be effective. I Find this ridiculous, what and how suppose to live in the interim period.
I was then given a normal simcard instead
