RICA process not working

I recently bought a SIM-Sonke starter pack and had both sim's RICA'd in store successfully. More than 24 hours have passed and I still have "No Service" on my iPhone 5. I am quite technologically inclined and have done all the troubleshooting -- rebooted the phone, manually selected the network etcetera, but still no join. I've called the call centre, and chatted online and all i'm told to do is wait. As a new customer, this is unacceptable. Why is the RICA/activation process with other network providers 5 - 10 minutes? No one in your call centre offers to check anything or escalate -- i'm just told to wait. I would appreciate some decent assistance with this matter. I'm considering porting to Telkom Mobile, and if this is a taste of what's to come, i don't think i will be porting.
