Following 8 painful months with a horribly oversubscribed cell c, I decided to test out Telkom mobile / 8ta.
After a rocky start where they messed up my port, I finally managed to get my number switched over to 8ta, only to find that I have absolutely no reception either at home or at work. I live in the sandton CbD and work in rivonia, two areas that should be covered according to 8ta's network map,
I am also unable to send any SMSs and have spoken to the call centre about this 3 times.
The best part is that I am now stuck on this useless network for the next 2 months as they won't release a umber for a period of 60 days after porting.
I guess Telkom mobile is just as good as their fixed line counterparts. What was I expecting???
Quite sad isn't it... Try to get some assistance, not.
