My mom signed up for a MTN data contract in Jan 2012, which supposedly included a Laptop with very clearly specified software loaded. As of today, 15 August, MTN has not yet been able to provide her with what was stipulated in the contract! To make things worse, their technical team has had her computer for the past 8 weeks to try to load the appropriate software, without any joy! Really... 8 weeks to not be able to load software?!
On top of this I have been in contact directly with a senior regional manager from the MTN Head Office for almost 5 weeks now, to no avail! Loads of empty promises, but no delivery on their side of the contract!
Yet, all along the debit order continues to be deducted promptly every month, and I bet they'd have the audacity to send out a warning should payment be made even one day in arrears.
Unfortunately this is not my first experience of such a nature with MTN. Surely they must be voted as Africa's worst customer service company!
