Beware of Vodacom (extended) contracts:

I bought a laptop computer with 3G data bundle from Vodacom April 2011. Two year contract. The data service was some of the worst I've experienced since I started using Internet but because of my BB with MTN and Internet at work I survived this service without complaining. When the two year contract expired I opted for a new contract, a Samsung tab with much better Internet connection. Vodacom send me an sms beginning of March to inform me that my data bundle expires 31 March 2013. No problem I thought when I got the Tab, then the monthly debit goes through and the computer instalment is deducted as well. Seeing that I do not receive invoices I can not check and I accepted that it may be possible. Month of May and the laptop instalment is claimed again. Now it seems to be a 25 month contract, so I contact Vodacom customer service and make enquiries. They reply quite promptly but their reply makes no sense. They are supposed to have all information on the computer screen in front of them but he can not provide a reasonable answer as to what has gone wrong. Watch out for extended contracts Sorting this problem out will cause you major headaches!!!
