I purchased an Acer Aspire E1-571 Notebook on the 6 November 2013 from Vodacom Picabel Parkade Mall. Since I have had the notebook, I have been struggling to do any updates on it, the computer freezes, screen goes green, etc. So, I send it in to Acer to get fixed, only to be told, there is nothing wrong with the hardware, the software is corrupt and I need to pay R820 for them to reload the software. A brand new laptop!!! Why would the software go corrupt after 2 months, I have not been able to load anything or do the system updates as required. And software, since when does someone need to pay to get software reloaded onto their notebooks? This is beyond ridiculous!!!
