Vodacom
Out of box defect

I renewed my cellphone contract on the 2 August 2013 @ VODACOM: Beacon Bay Retail Park, East London. I paid for the sim swop and upgrade fee which came to over R300.00. I was then informed that my cell would be up and running after 4 hours.By Saturday the 3 August 2013 I returned to the shop because the cell was still inactive (No network coverage). Riaan then lifted something that allowed me to access the internet and was told to wait another 24 hours.By Sunday, 4 August 2013 after 24 hours I still had no coverage. I returned to VODACOM and the shop was closed due to no electricity supply. I then returned on Monday the 5 August 2013 - Maxine fiddled around on the cell and I was told to give it another 24 hours. After 24 hours the cell worked periodically. On Thursday I returned the cell to Vodacom and they told me that it was probably out of the box defect requiring them to send it away and they refused to provide a loan phone. Vodacom service centre called and wanted to know how I was enjoying my new phone. I spoke to Botumelo @ 8 August 2013 - 14H52. I reported my experience and she said I would have a favourable outcome by Monday the 12 August 2013. Still no joy - unhappy.
