In December 2012 I had sent my Nokia N8 in for repair, a month later, I get a call from Virgin mobile saying that my phone is somehow water damaged and my warranty is therefore voided. I was forced to pay a fee to get my phone back.
I recently took the phone to a 3rd party repair shop to check if there was anything that could be done for the "water damage" and broken USB port, when the technician opened the phone up, he said that the phone was NOT water damaged and he simply repaired my broken USB port.
My contract was in its 24th month and Virgin mobile about my phone being water damaged to get out of doing the repair, I think that they should beheld liable for the R600 repair bill that I incurred due to their underhanded behaviour.
