I upgraded my cell phone contract last week and was promised a Samsung tv with 5 days. Today I am told that they are now out of stock. I am told that it is Samsung's fault.
According to the consumer protection act section 34 (3) - A person must not make a promotional offer with the intention of not fulfilling it or fulfilling it other than as offered. This means the supplier must ensure it has sufficient stock available to meet reasonably anticipated demands resulting from the offer.
In this case the supplier is MTN and not Samsung. This branch cannot resolve my problem.
