Hi. I opened a contract with MTN for 2G per month package in April this year. I was previously with MTN but through Autopage and received such terrible services from Autopage that I decided to go directly to MTN - Well, it looks like that was a HUGE mistake. I have just received a bill of R2899!!! and all I use my 3G for is emails!! The charges? "Packet switched data calls" What is that? Where does it come from? When I called the MTN help desk for customer services, the told me what I already knew ie I had that outstanding balance and that theyd would send the query through to billing department and that I must call back in 7 days. Surely if I have a query they should call ME back as soon as it is resolved? Also, why 7 days? Why not let me speak to someone in the billing department. That is a lot of money that has been taken off my personal account! Will it be refunded immediately? And what is in place to prevent this happening again. When I signed up for my 3 G contract, I was told it would cost R104 per month!!!
Can someone please help??? My MTN reference was REQ2493469
