I went to the Southdowns branch wanting to upgrade my MTN PAYG (previously on contract with MTN) to a contract. I informed the staff and then manager that I already had two active contracts with MTN. I had my driver's license as proof of identity, and considering the fact that MTN already has all my details, the manager did not want to accept this as proof of my identity, citing that MTN now has a new policy where they need at least two forms of identification. The previous contract I took out only needed my driver's license (different store).
I think this is pathetic, as MTN already has all my details (I have been an MTN customer since the beginning), I have two active contracts with MTN. I can understand if you have a new customer, but this is not the case.
