What a mission!!! to get MTN's insurance to sort out the claim. They cost us more time that what is was worth.
Biggest issue is the fact that after some time we could get the Tablet black listed but MTN never cancelled or disabled the sim card that came with the device which means the have had a royal time using up data and using the sim for calls running up a bill of almost R 3000. MTN should have blocked the SIM when the Tablet as reported but no savvy around this issue. all they did was tell us why they cannot full fill their claim which they did after we put up a huge "fight" with the call centre. The call centre also did not know what was going on and was passing the buck except just sorting out the paying customer in a professional manner.
Surely when you report a device the 1. device and 2. sim will be blocked and it would be the responsibility of MTN's after care service to guide the customer in the best possible way!!!
