I was disgusted in the way my claim was handled. I purchased a cell phone, blackberry 9720 from Ackermans Parow centre, on a Wednesday, the Friday, I take the Phone out of the pouch and the LCD is gone on the phone. a two day old phone!!! I take it back to Ackermans they tell me I dropped the phone! all the plastic is still on the phone and there is no indication what so ever that the phone was dropped. they then send the phone in for repairs, for some lady to call me from MTN telling me its going to cost R1800.00 (phones value is R2000) for LCd TO BE REPLACED. I ask her why she says its not in warranty if LCD cracks. I ask her why she says she doesn't know. What a feeble excuse. im so angry I will take this matter further and not pay for the repairs. I will go as far as going to newspapers with this as I know that phone was not dropped. if I don't receive a response I will go into the media with this.
