My Samsung galaxy s3 which was under warranty was sent in to repair the sim card connector. After 3 days received sms to pay R300.00 into mtn account. I questioned the warranty as the phone was only 7 months old. I was told that i had to pay the amount if i wanted my phone back. I paid the amount and when i went to receive my phone they told me it was a mistake and they will refund my money. I gave then my bank details and proof of payment. I have been back 10 times and i am still waiting for my money after 5 months.
2nd complaint my daughters galaxy went in for repairs. Phone still under warranty made me pay over R1000.00 to fix it. Their excuse the phone was dropped. I took the phone to Samsung and they checked the phone if it was dropped. There was no broken sreen no scratches. The LTE was damaged. If i took it too Samsang direct they would have paid for the phone. Someone at mtn is making money from poor people. All phones have a warranty for 2 years.
