16 July - called the vodacom online center to upgrade my contract - process was completed and told would have phone the next day - live in an outlying area- so knew it would arrive later - the 19th still no phone, called again and told the order had not gone through - the order had to be redone. Phone arrived 25 July - my original "upgrade" so I called in and was bounced around to a number of people - to be told that its in fact a new number that was ordered and not an upgrade- told company that I dealt with is an outsource company and that the recordings will have to verified to establish that I did in fact upgrade and not ordered a new number. The problem I have is that this issue is not isolated - my husband and a work colleague have exactly the same issue - did an upgrade and are sitting with phones with new numbers!!! My actual upgrade - done on the 19th (when I was told the order had to be redone) is on back order - I cancelled this yesterday (after being bounced around to about 5 different people) to make sure that the issue is resolved before ending up in the same situation again!!! Still waiting for a response from VODACOM with regards to this
