My cell phone contract ended at the of June. I e-mailed Virgin and spoke to the call centre twice to say I wanted to go onto pay-as-you go as I am unemployed and can't afford the set amount any more. I phoned the call centre to cancel my last debit order as my bank account is now empty and I need to pay cash, but they refused saying that they have received no cancellation notice. Hallo, my contract is PAID UP and I have given you over one month's notice (TWICE). What is wrong with cell phone companies? They remember to phone you for an upgrade, but they can't do a simple thing like transfer your account to a pay-as-you-go... it's like joining the Mafia (you can join but you can never ever leave, EVER).
