LACK of service!!

On the 17th July I walked into the Cell C branch in Beacon Bay, East London, to purchase a Tab. The gentleman behind the counter informed me that they only had two in stock of which I chose the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. The gentleman was not very clued up on his product and went onto google to print me a list of the specs of the product. I informed him that I was buying it for my brother as a birthday present. I purchased the product by cash/card and left. Today, 19th July, I returned to the same store and informed them that my brother already had this product so i wished to return it. It was in original packaging. They declined my request. I then said that I would keep it but I am not sure how it works so could they tell me about the product (setting up of email, the basics etc), to my horror none of the three sales people could tell me anything. The gentleman proceeded to the back to make a call telling whoever was on the other line the story, I could hear them laughing at me. When he returned, I informed him that in terms of the Consumer Protection Act I could return the product with the following reasons, The "cooling off" period of 5days; Goods do not meet particular purpose.
