I had purchased a product from the Gadget shop this last Saturday. I had intended to use this product to achieve a certain purpose at home.
However on taking it home and further inspection I noted that this product was not suitable for the way it was intended to be used.
I had phoned the shop and they had told me they would refund me in store credit for the product. This is highly unacceptable as per the Consumer Protection Act I am entitled to either replace/repair or be refunded for a product I have purchased within 10 business days.
I do not feel that providing store credit is an appropriate means of refunding the consumer as we are entitled per the CPA to be refunded in cash.
