On 18/10/2013 at 16:15 I bought a lock at Mica in Rayton.
Before purchasing I asked the floor manager if the product can be returned if it doesn't fit in my door, he answered yes.
When I went to return the lock the store owner told me he cannot replace it because I tore off the top of the packaging (very neatly). He also told me to take my stuff and leave and that I should not return again. In light of the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 68 OF 2008 under section 20 a consumer is allowed to return a product not meeting my wants and if the packaging is damaged the owner could charge me a "handling fee". I'm not impressed with this owners attitude and would like some feedback. We returned the lock within 15 min of purchasing it. The owner also were insulting and told me he was in business long before I was born and he can do as he pleases. The goods were not damaged and I have photos of the packaging with the goods.
