Inability to install basic telephone line

Two months ago I ordered/requested a Telkom landline to be installed at our new premises. I informed Telkom that I would need a line functioning at the new premises due to my working from home.

I was assured it would be in long before then.

It took 7 weeks to get a technician on site. The technician has now been four times over the last two weeks, and every time fails to complete the job. I have had to pay a call-out fee to an electrician, twice, because Telkom refuses to let their employers in the roof to do their own job.

I have paid a full account of just under R500 for two months, and have had no landline or ADSL for the entire period. Telkom is causing me to lose money from my business, stopping me from being able to do e-filing, and limiting my basic Human Right to communication.

I need a line installed drastically and soon.
