Disgusting service by CELL C!!!

I signed a contract with CELL C (Bayside Mall) for a Wi-fi router on 24th Dec. I was assured by the Technical dept. that the coverage in my area (Royal Ascot) was good and I went ahead with the contract. That was not the case it took almost 5 minutes to load the Google homepage!! The internet connection here is dead slow. On the 26th Dec at the store I was told by the consultant that I was not allowed to return the product. He let me complete a form to get a technician called to my home to investigate as this was the ONLY way to follow procedure in order to cancel the contract.
To date no technician has arrived. What about the Consumer Protection Act that says the consumer gets a cooling off period of 7 days on the purchase of ANY ELECTRONIC PRODUCT?? The managers response was that the 'In store sales' do not have the option of the 7 day cooling period only the 'Online sales'. What rubbish!! Cell C is trying to delay the process so that I am over my 7 day period so I can be charged a cancellation fee. I have laid a complaint with CP services today in hope that they can assist. I simply want out of the contract as I am not able to use the product in my area that is only fair!
