Firstly, it is not my style to publicly complain without attempting to resolve an issue first.
But MTN has given me little choice, since they are not responding to my emails.
I am currently overseas, and therefore, I requested that my cellphone contract be cancelled at the end of the contract period. I sent an email to the address stipulated on the website.
This was done as requested, though I did have to email a number of times before getting any response.
The problem now is, that MTN has also deactivated my cellphone number. This is a number I had before the contract, and I really need to keep this number.
I was also billed just days before the contract ended. Where is the airtime that I payed for?
On top of that, and I realise, that perhaps I was supposed to stop the debit order myself. Mtn continued to take money from my bank account after the contract ended. I assumed that since they had initiated the debit order, they would also cancel same.
I need these issues resolved please. I need a refund on money that I should not have had to pay, my airtime back that I did pay for, and I want my cellphone number back.
