I recently sent my Samsung S3 in for repairs as the LCD had cracked (Midlands Liberty Mall Vodacare). The guy at the counter said that the phone will be sent away for assessment and vodacom will call me with a quote. We received an sms that the phone will be sent to Cell Mag SA. Few days had passed and no response from vodacom. We phoned the centre where the phone was being repaired at. they said they are waiting for us to authorise the quote. Yet no one bothered to phone or email the quote through. we did not receive any call for the next 1-2 weeks. We phoned again and they said that they waiting for payment before they can release the phone. How do they expect payment if no banking details was supplied or letting us know the phone was ready. No response was given to us during the process unless we enquired first.

Furthermore, after two weeks of collecting the phone, we only get an sms now (12 july), that the phone is ready and must deposit the money in the account within 90 days or the phone will be sold.

Our family has been vodacom subscribers for many years. if this is the service we going to get in future, then I would not renew any of my contracts.
