Beware of Vodacom 4U Midlands Mall

The problem:
Signed a renewal contract for Family Top Up at Vodacom 4U shop at Midlands Mall, Pietermaritzburg on Friday 05 July 2013, tried to return handset and cancel signed agreement on Thursday 11 July 2013. Was told by Kyle Joseph that the 7 day / 5 business day cooling off period provided for in Consumer Protection Act for returns / cancellations does not apply to their branch.
Tried cancelling through Vodacom cancellation department and they claim they cannot perform this as I signed up with an agent of theirs and not Vodacom direct. I was also advised that I would have to buy out my renewal term even though I am within my 5 business - 7 day cooling off period.
Seeking a Consumer Protection Act lawyer for assistance to put an end to this.
Please other consumers, do not make the same mistake as I did.
