Unacceptable Debits - Telkom Untrustworthy

I took a data contract with Telkom mobile/8ta on 21 June, and discovered that I had no signal at my home. After being endlessly messed around by technicians, this issue was finally resolved 6 weeks later. In the interim, I spoke to the accounts department on several occasions and was told that I would not be charged for the 6 weeks during which I had received no service.

On 27 June, my bank account was debited for the full 6 weeks, and after complaining, I was contacted by Vanessa du Preez who told me that she could not credit my account for the full amount (I had to pay for the modem for 2 months), but that there was a credit of R467.00 due to me over and above these charges. I also insisted that that money be put back into my back account, to which she responded that she was holding the money back to pay for my next month's account. The audacity!

Today the accounts department told me that I only have a credit of R71.00. Clearly Telkom is not capable of being responsible with debit orders and/or credits. I now want all future debit orders cancelled and will pay via EFT instead, and I want the credit of R467.00 refunded to my bank account immediately!
