Can on-one assist

I got a Vodeacom Tablet for my son on contract last year ( - November). The USB cable is broken and thus the tablet cannot be charged rendering it useless. I have been to several Vodacom stores, including Chatz and Altech and none of them carry spares cables. I was told to go to Vodacare Eastgate which I duly did yesterday only to be told eventually that they cannot help and I must go to Vodaworld (miles away from where I am). They gave me a contact number of) 11 653 6500 to contact - tried yesterday and phone kept on being put down. Tried today and that is the switchboard number - great - After having explained the problem I was put through somewhere and was told that was the incorrect place and to phone 082 111, which I duly did only to be told once again that I'm at the wrong place. Phone 082 1950 which I have done only to be told they cannot help me either. Phone another number - how many more places must I phone??? I want a cable for the tablet. Please can someone on this site suggest where I can be helped or can Vodacom do their job and assist.
