Vodacom
Sold used Samsung pocket phone

As I will be leaving for China soon, I did not renew my vodacom contract but as my old phone was not good any more I decided to buy a little Samsung pocket phone. My daughter bought one from vodacom Pavilion for R899 and it is a nice little phone. A new vodacom shop has just opened in Malvern, Queensburgh so I went there. First the man who runs the shop, tried to convince me to buy a phone that I never heard of, but when I said I will rather go to Pavilion, he said he would give me the Samsung at R1000, when I said I would still rather go to Pavilion as it is cheaper there, he then said I could have it for R900. He went to fetch the phone at the back. He said it was the only one he had. It was already out of the box when he brought it to me. When I got home, I realized that it is not the same as my daughters, I think it must be an older model. There were no plastic cover over the face. Some of the features does not work, and the alarm was already set for weekdays 5:30 and weekends 9:00am. I realized I have been sold a used, faulty phone. What really worries me, is that the man changed my pin code, pretending to set up the phone for me.
