I am a top (Onyx Vodacom) client. I replace my phone annually and have had at least three different cellphones (Nokia, Samsung and Apple) over the last five years. After a complaint a few years ago Vodacom came to install a signal booster in my home, but the service kept on dropping my voice calls.
At least two more complaints, with Vodacom coming out, left me with my problem unresolved.
I use for my for business puposes, so as a last resort I had a technical representative from Icasa measure the strenght of the signal at my house last week. He reported that the signal in my area, Loevenstein - Cape Town, was permanently fluctuating, and that it was the cause of my phone permanently "hunting" for the signal causing the repeated dropped calls.
I politely passed this information on the customer services at Vodacom, and this is when the problem started. A series of and half truths have now been replaced by a deafening silence from Vodacom. They are not responding emails requesting contact details of a senior person to speak to neither are they keeping their promises of linking me to someone to speak to.
