I recently discovered Telkom switched my account over in to someone elses name, i went to their cape town branch to try to rectify the error. The employee checked the system and said i had to go to this person 70km away and get a letter from them and bring it back. This to fix a mistake telkom made? How is it possible that telkom makes a mistake and i have to fix it? They refused to assist me with my account if i dont get a letter with a copy of this person's ID, even though i can prove that the account was in my name as per all my bills, and they cant prove that i requested a change of ownership which i did not.
Terrible service telkom!
