I have purchased a Lenovo laptop vi aAltech Mobile at Maponya mall. The laptop came with a vodacom modem of which i was told it universal modem i can insert any simcard from other network..I have asked this several times to the consultants and they Thabo and the coloured lady (i did not take her name as Thabo was not in duty on 20/june 2013 when i passed by the store, she also confirmed that the moderm is universal)
i went a head and bought a cell c 3 gb and to my suprise, when i inserted it in my modem it said "sim card not recognised" .. on saturday the 22/06/2013 i went to the store and i Asked Thabo why is not taking my cell c sim card only then he tell me the modem i locked it can only take vodacoms sim card only ..
i asked him, i have confirmed with you so many times and you assured me that the modem is universal what must i do with the cell c sim??. His response, was i must buy a new moderm or he will speak with his team leader and i must the moderm on 50% ... I seriously dont understand why i should pay for something which was sold to me via false information???.i have confirmed so many times and they said its universal moderm
