I got a call from vodacom contact center about migrating me to a higher package as i was paying a bit more for my phone each month. the person called on the 24 May 2013 and informed me that i have 30 days to go back to my original package should i wish to do so. i took the plan and was moved from Talk 120 to Smart XL, i realised when the plan kicked in that it was actually going to be much higher than what i was paying for. Nowhere during the migration plan was i ever informed that there will be a penalty of R1900 for moving back to my original plan, the communication was recorded as i was informed and i need that. i called vodacom on 20 June 2013 to migrate me back to my old plan and they told me i need to pay the penalty fee of R1900, this is totally unacceptable, they phoned and told me they are giving me a better plan, i need to be moved back to my old plan and no penalty should apply as i was only informed about the 30 days to go back. I need the recording of that day to proof that this was not disclosed, i will be taking this matter further should i not receive a response from vodacom.
