Telkom Simple plan - not so simple

Hi there,

About a month ago we got the telkom simple plan package which only costs R399 per month. On saturday 11 May 2013 we received a statement that amounted to R743.00. I tried calling the call centre but couldn't get through to someone in the accounts department as they do not work over weekends. I phoned back on 13 May 2013 @ 13:54 and spoke to Lesego (could have been Retshego) she then told me that we are going to be billed R695-00 per month for the telkom simple plan. This is where I interrupted and told her but this is not what we signed for. The package we signed for was R399 per month and that the consultant that helped us reassured us that we will not be paying anything more that this UNLESS we use the line to make calls (which we dont, we use the package simply for internet usage) I then asked her for a breakdown, turns out we are now paying extra for the adsl line (which we thought was included in the package as it is a 'simple plan package' and another amount for telkom evening weekender plan..I asked to speak to a superior, one was on the phone with customer and the other in meeting.
