I have not been able to use my 10 Gig data for several weeks and were unable to get through to 10210 holding on for up to 30 minutes - no answer. I decided to go to the Telkom shop in Fourways. I was outside the door at 9am (opening time) about 10 minutes later I knocked on the door and the guard was furious about my interruption. Inside the consultants were still finishing breakfast and makeup. I waited for them to finish. I approached the Telkom consultant who rudely informed me that I must have the problem their data connections fine, however, they only sell and she redirected me to 10210. I went to the 8ta woman to inquire about the data specials. She told me she needed an ID, Proof of Res, Payslip (understandably) BUT asked for 3 months bank statements - which quite frankly compromises my banking security. This after 3 years with Telkom not missing one payment. Service is SHOCKING - Not sure if 10210 is operational? I am hoping that Telkom will respond to this - I am running out of options on how to obtain assistance. I want to cancel my Telkom account because I pay R500 for the fast connection, 10 gig data and telephone line but I am unable to use the data.
