Over three weeks ago changed my Telkom Line from 1mb to 4mb. Once I had recieved the SMS confirming that my line was now 4mb from Telkom, I changed my Mweb account (I use Telkom for line rental and Mweb for uncapped data) to a 4mb line too. After 24 hours there was still no change in speed so I began running speed tests which confirmed my speed was at 0.5mb.
I contacted Mweb, who informed me that the problem was with the line and not the data they provide.
I approached Telkom 4 times to report a fault and asked specifically for a technician to be sent out and each time received an SMS stating the problem had been resolved, only nothing had changed.
Then on Friday afternoon I demanded an answer from Telkom as to why I was paying an increased fee to both Mweb and Telkom and receiving a very sub par service that no-one seemed able to fix.
It was then that the call centre clerk informed me that my area, Panorama in Cape Town, could not handle a 4mb line. Both the Telkom website and the original employee who converted my line said 4 mb was possible. I was also informed that they did not know when a 4mb line would be supported.

Basically, I have not been receiving what I pay for.
