I have been wanting to exercise my cooling off right for more than a week now, as I cannot continue doing business with MTN any longer as a result of multiple service failures. I was referred to the Service Centre at Northgate by the call center to give the handsets back. I first went there on 6 June, when I was told that they need the documents that I received with the courier. I went back on 9 June, then I was told that I needed the Proof of Purchase, which I did not receive from the courier. I called the call centre on 10 June, and they gladly supplied me with a copy. I went back again on 11 June with the copy, but this time I was told that they were almost robbed and that all the tills were closed so they would not be able process the request, and that I needed to come back again. I went back, again, on 12 June just before closing time and I was told that they had already cashed up and again cant help me, but they took the document and the phones and said I can just call them today for the sim-swap. Today I am told there is a big problem and the manager would call me. I am utterly frustrated as now my wife and I are left without any means of communication
