Friday 7th June
I applied/received my Vodacom contract on the medium package, also received my HTC one.
Later that evening I realised that my phone does not receive SMS
Saturday 8th June
Took it to vaodacom to have it checked out, the vodacom guy inserted another SIM which was able to receive SMS, he called the advanced data helpdek who refreshed my settings on the network
The problem still persisted
Sunday 9th June
Called the vodacom call centre, they gave me both message centre numbers, was told that they would reset my settings and that I must check after 24 hours
Problem still persisted
Monday 13 June
Took the phone back to Vodacom Woodmead, a SIM swap was done, after about 4 hours i inserted the new SIM. Still could not receive SMS
Tuesday 14th June
Took the phone back to Vodacom Woodmead where I was told they will log a call with the IT department
Told to wait for 24 hours.
I've been always an MTN customer but heard great news about Vodacom, wHat a disappointment
So I guess the next step will be for me to bring in the phone to run some tests right?
At this point, It would be better to cancel this contract. CellC has the HTC one I'm sure i wont have these issue
