I recently took out a new contract with Cell C and was issued with a number from their new 061 number range. This number is absolutely useless on all sites or services I try to use it on. Cell C has had this new number range for months now and I still cannot use it to do banking online or register on sites. I am not receiving any updates from anything because no one will accept my new number. Nor can I pay people online because I cannot get a OTP from my bank or use the number as a reference.
Here is an article back in February when the number range was issued to them from Icasa [URL Removed] . How can it take 5 months for them to update their systems or communicate to other people that they need to accommodate for this change? I have seen other complaints about this issue on numerous sites and they are all unanswered, no doubt mine will go unanswered as well.
