On the 20 May I logged a written and verbal request to cancel my new contract within 7 days of getting the contract. Cell C only managed to book an OBF: 087416, 7 days later after numerous calls from me!
I cancelled the contract for the following reasons: first the wrong goods were delivered, then the contract was activated on the wrong number, then the 3Gigabyte of data was activated on the wrong number. Then I was charged for moving the contract onto the correct number. Then I had to wait again, this time for a new data sim to arrive, only to find out that the speedstick is not compatible with my Macbook as promised at point of sale - the technical dept. could also not fix the problem and suggested I get a new laptop!
Reference numbers along the way: 3051403325, 3051503204, 3051700246, 3051700753. Oh - 3 agents laughed at me!
The goods were only collected by RAM on the 30 May, because Cell had my name down as Tabato on the waybill (RW12767553)! I still have not received any news as to when the contract will be cancelled and when my phone number will be converted back to prepaid.
I expect a call and final resolution on 10 June, with no penalties to me, or CPA here I come!
