When my husband's contract 078 was due for an upgrade I was told there are 2 packages/options namely top up and open line.
The top up contract was about R100 more per month and accepted it at the Zevenwacht Mall store. To upgrade has its advantage and disadvantage, like the amount of time you spend at the counter and the paperwork to be signed. When I got my invoice for April I thought that the hefty amount being charged is for my upgrade fees for 083. I've never had a reason to dispute a signed contract as it was always set out as I requested, but when I got an sms 20 May 2013 at 13h59 while in hospital with my sick son I realized that what I requested in store has been changed. The agent I spoke to was also so rude and seemed clueless and could not give me a good explanation. Their reply:

Thank you for taking time to raise your concerns with MTN.
Kindly note that the April bill for line 083 had additional charges, -Call charges amounted to R359.34 - Data charges R218.82. Query is for 078 number not 083.
