I have two Vodacom cellphone contracts that have reached their expiry date. I DO NOT want to continue with the contracts, but rather change the plan to pay as you go. I have tried on two occasions to call the Cancellation of contract number (082 1958). On both occasions I was left on hold for more than 10 minutes. For me this is unacceptable. In recent times I have praised Vodacom on their swift service when upgrading and starting a new contract. I am quite disappointed that the service for cancelling a contract can't be as efficient.
The longer this process continues, the longer I have to pay for a product I no longer require. I hope this experience does not completely sour the rather good perception I've had of Vodacom as a service provider.
