I have a MTN SP cellphone contract and have now been with them for more than 10 years. FOr the last 6 years I have been paying my account monthly by EFT using internet banking.
I made a payment on 28 May 2013 for an amount of R 848.00 yet today an amount of R 1, 177.62 was debited from my bank account without my knowledge.
I did not at any point request to pay the account by stop or debit order, but on calling 808 I was informed that the account has been setup up to be paid via debit order.
I believe this borderlines on or as I did not give permission for the stop order on my account, yet MTNSP debited my account. I was not informed of the change and I definitely did not request this change at any point.
The fact is that they were paid yet they run the stop order without my consent. I want the money credited back to my bank account. I DO NOT WANT A CREDIT ON MY BANK ACCOUNT.
I was also requested to please call back to have this resolved. The facts are; MTN took money and now they are making it my problem to resolve.
